Hi, my name is RJ. I am the founder of JumFin and the director of this animation series.
First of all, let me briefly walk you through my background.
My career began at a local securities firm called Samsung Securities in 2003. In the same year, I moved to Citigroup, which is an investment banking leg of Citigroup, as a fixed income salesperson. Then, I moved to J.P. Morgan in 2007 and then to Barclays in 2012.
During my years of study and career in finance for over 10 years, I came to realize how general public tends to alienate finance and treat it as something reserved just for professionals. However, I strongly believe that basic knowledge in finance and economics is essential for everybody, as long as one makes, saves, borrows, and invests.
Based on my junior resource training experience over different firms, I decided to create this animation series to provide an accessible educational tool on basic financial and economic concepts. I hope that everyone can make better financial decisions on their everyday lives after going through this project.
I was born and raised in Korea, and I hold Bachelor’s degree from Yonsei University in Business. After some years of work, I obtained M.B.A from Duke University, Fuqua School of Business.
For this animation series, I teamed up with a multimedia designer and a voice donor who share a common goal of creating accessible learning tool. I wish everyone can enjoy our contents and build basic knowledge of finance and economics in an enjoyable way.
Keep up with us and stay tuned. Learning finance is not difficult as you may think, and it can be quite fun.
